Château La Grolet is a 17th-century manor house sat at the bottom of a valley surrounded by its 50-hectare estate, including 38 hectares of vines, with the remainder being natural grassland, woodland, waterways and water sources. The Hubert family acquired the estate in 1997 and then began its total conversion to biodynamics. The steep slopes of this gravel and clay terroir are planted with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Malbec.
This exceptional environment with incredible biodiversity allows us to produce complex, pure wines.

Château Peybonhomme-Les-Tours

Red wine

The estate’s main wine offers up a wide range of red fruit aromas: wild strawberry and blackcurrant paired with spice notes. Elegance and delicacy dominate. Straightforward in the fruity attack, fairly tannic in the mid-palate and then a finish bursting with finesse. Best drunk at 18°C within five years.

Like Quintessence, this selection always contains the two grape varieties Malbec and Merlot with the addition of some Cabernet Sauvignon. Fleshy and long on the palate, immediately displaying black fruit aromas and then developing mild tobacco and cocoa notes as it ages.

Ameticulous blend from an old plot whose powerful profile matches up perfectly to the use of amphorae. Twelve months of maturation in amphorae have ‘quietened down’ this fiery bottle, leaving it beautifully tender and ample on the palate. Black fruit aromas elevated by a mineral touch and followed by a lingering gourmet finish which makes your mouth water.

White wine

Le Blanc by Château Peybonhomme-Les-Tours stands out thanks to the depth of its colour, nose and flavour. A bright and slightly buttery yellow appearance, with a nose offering up both the exoticism of pineapple and the smoothness of acacia. On the palate it reveals a surprising richness from the very ripe Semillon, together with liveliness in the mid-palate from the pure and clean Sauvignon. It lingers remarkably in the finish and leaves an impact.

Red wine

Apost-fermentation selection of our best vats, this is a different blend every year but consistently features Malbec and Merlot. Powerful and delicious on the palate with well-integrated oak, allowing prune and fig notes to emerge.
A wine which will reveal its full potential with a little time in the cellar.
